According to the State Governor, “The occasion marks another milestone it the march towards the public/private partnership for the development of our economy. It is gratifying to note that FCMB has been contributing positively towards the economic emancipation of the people of this state and that accounts for the sitting of its mini branch at this International Kraal and Cattle market that has been designed to facilitate investment in livestock agriculture,” he stated.

Alao-Akala who noted that Government cannot shoulder the responsibility of improving the standards of living of the masses alone, solicited the cooperation of other stake holders to ensure the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.

“At this juncture, I wish to assure our partners in the banking sector that this administration is ever ready to ensure conducive atmosphere for business to thrive and for providing the enabling environment for the sustainability of economic growth which is an index of our political advancement,” Alao-Alala noted.

Describing the bank as the a prime mover in the economy of Oyo State, Governor Alao – Akala expressed gratitude to FCMB on its achievements in the quest to bring banking to the agricultural sector and to partner the state in assisting the people in their business initiative.

Kayode Adigun, FCMB’s Regional Director, South West said “the idea of establishing the mini branch in a location like the cattle market and in a remote area is essentially to bring banking activities to the grass-root. FCMB is committed to the sale of products and services to the ultimate end user and that is what we want to achieve by situating a branch right in the midst of the people that need it.”

He said by doing this, the bank is also collaborating with the state and local government to enhance the millennium development program geared towards towns and villages.
